Collection: Coffee

As a small specialty roaster, selections vary. With rare exceptions due to roasting capacity of the machine, coffee is nearly roasted per-order. The Master of the Roast sets all roasts for each coffee and ground coffee is +$1. Some dark roasts are not available ground.

Roast levels are approximate and depend on the beans. Some specific processed coffees are roasted a little lighter to retain certain characteristics than everyday beans and espresso roasts are a tad darker.

Key to understanding
Single Barrel: Single barrel coffee is generally single origin.   Think of a region or smaller area bought as a named "coffee" from a single source which may be a coop or farm.   The single coffee may be of more than one cherry tree specie but was acquired as a single "coffee."

Double Barrel: Two coffees, not really a "blend," but as the name suggests, two high-quality different coffees in a specific ratio for a desired effect.

Blended Beans: This is a barrel blend of three or more coffees.

Drinkable Dregs: The first word is a hint, coffee believed to be a fine product delivered at a bargain price.   As the second suggests, it is limited quantity and may be a bit of a pot-luck of end of production roast runs, odds-and ends and other coffees too good to throw overboard.   It’s a surprise in every bag. And all of this subject to change without notice.
